• Come learn how to build a flower planter. Just in time for Mother's Day, this planter makes a great gift.
• FREE hands-on workshops; designed for children ages 5 - 12
• All kid get to keep their craft, receive a FREE certificate of achievement, a Workshop Apron, and a commemorative pin while supplies last.

Cinemark Summer Movie Clubhouse 2014

Here in my town, we have a brand new movie theater, Cinemark and I was pleased to find out they have a Summer Movie Clubhouse.

It is not FREE but a very reasonable price, $1 a movie but if you buy a prepaid card for all the movies in advance it works out to only 50 cents a movie!!

Come join us for the week of June 16^th from 9:00 a.m. to Noon, for Weird Animals, where Kids Love Weird Animals and Kids Need Unconditional Love.  At Weird Animals, they'll get both! This amazing experience will help those kids from age 4 to completed 5th grade explore God’s incredible love for his children.  Registration form coming soon.

Registration Fee of $20 registration by June 10^th.   After June 10^th, Registration Fee is $30.

Kids will love coming to FPC for fun-filled and action packed weeks. Parents will love knowing that their kids are involved in a positive and safe environment.  We have an experienced and mature staff - all of which have been background checked.
During the summer months we offer week-long camps for all age levels:
• Golf Camp • Sports Camps • Kids Club Camps • Fine Arts Camp • Mini-Miracles Camps
Each camper will need to have a registration form and medical form on file. Mini-Miracles campers will also need to have a sensitivity questionnaire completed. You can find all these forms below.

First United Methodist Church Summer Music Camp

Summer Kid’s Music Camp

Join us for an experience your child won’t soon forget at our Kid’s Music Camp! Scheduled for Mon, July 28 through Fri, August 1, from 9am-3pm, this wonderful week is open to children that have completed Kindergarten through 5th grade. Participants will learn about set-making, prop-making, singing and choreography. The week will end with a performance of the musical “What’s up, Zak?” on Friday evening. Performance experience is not needed to participate! There are a few speaking parts for this production that auditions will be held for the afternoon of Fri, Jun 27, during Vacation Bible School.

Vacation Bible School 2014

Join us June 23-27 for our summer Vacation Bible School “Workshop of Wonders: Imagine & Build with God,” where children will learn about ordinary people in the Bible that did extraordinary things when they trusted God!
Participants will hear amazing stories of what can happen when they use their heart, mind and imagination to participate in the creative life of God, the one who works wonders. The curriculum is based on the scripture of Psalm 77:14a, “You are the God who works wonders.”
 This week combines interactive Bible storytelling, crafts, science, recreation, music and even snacks for an experience that won’t soon be forgotten.

This year, we’ll once again offer two sessions – one from 9am – noon and another from 5-8pm. Registration will begin on April 12 at our Easter Eggstravaganza (from 10am-noon) and the cost is just $25 per child. If you’re interested in helping us make this ministry outreach event happen, please email Kim Mayes for more information and fill out the enclosed VBS adult volunteer application.

A unique spring celebration, held in support of the nationally recognized “Week of the Young Child.” Explorations V Annual Children’s Festival will include art, science, music, woodworking, bounce house, entertainment and many other hands-on activities throughout nearby Munn Park.

Chagall for Children

Explorations V will debut Chagall for Children, a multi-sensory art exhibit featuring components that incorporate reproductions of works by master artist, Marc Chagall. The exhibit offers children an introduction to art while allowing both children and adults to develop a greater understanding and appreciation of all forms of artistic expression by examining color, composition, light and texture.

Admission

The admission fee for the festival is $5 per person with those under two admitted free. All activities are included with admission while supplies last.
