OPENS SATURDAY, OCTOBER 15
A grand opening takes place on Saturday, October 15, 2011 for a BIG RED DOG named CLIFFORD in the Glazer Children’s Museum’s new Traveling Exhibit Hall! Board the Birdwell Island ferry and journey to the world of Clifford™, America’s beloved big red dog with a big heart to match. See Emily Elizabeth™ and many of the residents of Birdwell Island.
Inspired by Scholastic Entertainment’s top-rated TV show Clifford The Big Red Dog® on PBS KIDS®, the exhibit offers numerous immersive ‘paws-on’ adventures that reinforce ‘Clifford’s Big Ideas’ ten simple tangible life lessons designed to help young children navigate their world: Share, Play Fair, Have Respect, Work Together, Be Responsible, Be Truthful, Be Kind, Believe in Yourself, Be a Good Friend and Help Others. Adventures with Clifford The Big Red Dog will be here through December 31.
Kids can visit a colossal nine-foot tall Clifford with a tail to slide down, just like Emily Elizabeth does on the television show. Children can help fill Clifford’s big dog bowl with bones using a conveyor belt and find ‘bone’-ifide treasures at T-Bone’s Beach. Browse the Norman Bridwell Art Retrospective and see 40 years (that’s 280 dog-years) of artwork and stories by the creator and award-winning author of Clifford The Big Red Dog.
Check back regularly for special weekly events with Clifford!
Special Members-Only Previews

Pumpkin Fun for your family !
Pumpkin Fun ideas, and the Music Connections'
4th Annual Pumpkin Party !
Saturday, Oct. 8th
I love PUMPKINS, a fun symbol of Fall
and all it's warmth (pumpkin pie)
and humor (jack-o-lanterns).
My favorite Fall pumpkin chant with young children is a lap bounce:
Pumpkin, Pumpkin, sitting on the wall (bounce child on lap)
Pumpkin, Pumpkin, tip and fall, (bounce, then gently let them tip over and fall)
Pumpkin, Pumpkin, rolling down the street, (Roll hands, or roll on floor)
Pumpkin, Pumpkin... Trick or Treat! ( Hide face with hands, then pop out!)
** From "A Year of Celebration..." by Theodosia Sideropolous Spewok (recommended!)
October Special Event

For this month's Kindermusik Playdate, we have stories, songs, lap bounces, finger plays, games, and crafts all focused on MY favorite icon of Fall: PUMPKINS !!!

It's been such a big hit for the past three years, I just HAVE to do it again !!! This is the first year I've developed a special pumpkin Playdate just for babies. AND, all families will LOVE the new music and fun NEW activities I've added this year.
As soon as you enroll, you will recieve an email with a PLAYLIST of all the songs that we will use in the class, as well as a download code and a link to play.kindermusik.com.
This will allow you and your child to start listening and becoming familiar with the music, preparing for wonderfully engaging participation in this music experience.
