Cooking Class at Maggiano's

Kids' Cooking Class

Looking for a fun activity for your child?
Please join us for a Kids' Cooking Class on Saturday, October 15, 2011 at 10:00am - 11:30am.

$30 per child and one parent eats free!
Additional parents or guests are $15 per person.

Kids will be preparing cheese ravioli and will receive a Chef's hat and a goody bag to take home.

Adults will be served Caesar Salad and Four-Cheese Ravioli.
Children will be served ravioli after the cooking class is over.

Leader of the Band contest

If you've got a child who loves music, be sure to enter them in this year's "Leader of the Band" photo contest. This event will be open to all families, not just local families enrolled at Delightful Sounds. To enter, email us a picture of your child singing, dancing, playing an instrument, or enjoying music as a family. Make sure to include your child's first name, birth date, and your contact information. All entries must be received by October 7th and should be for children who are currently 0-6 years old. The photos will be uploaded into a photo album on ourfacebook page, where you will be able to vote for your favorite "Leader of the Band" photo. Voting will be from October 10th-21st. (You'll need to "like" our page to be able to vote.) The winner will be announced October 24th, so get those camers flashing!

Public Lands Day

Saturday is National Public Lands Day.

There will be volunteer opportunities at Circle B Bar Reserve to remove exotic plants, plant native plants, mulch planting areas and much more.

Mark your calendars for "Water, Wings and Wild Things".

The annual Water, Wings & Wild Things Festival at Circle B Bar Reserve is slated for Saturday, October 8th. Our family goes to this festival every year and have a great time. There is something for every nature lover in your family there. More info. will be posted as the date gets closer.
Activities will also take place Thursday-Sunday; October 6-9, such as field excursions to other places in Polk County with some really cool tour guides. People can go kayaking, bird watching, take butterfly hikes, tours and rides in airboats.
