Fireworks in Polk county

Lakeland

The City of Lakeland is pleased to announce that the T.Mims Corp. Red, White & Kaboom Independence Celebration will take place at Lake Mirror on Friday, July 1, 2011 from 6:00 p.m. - 9:15 p.m. with music and a breathtaking fireworks display dazzling the crowd at 9 p.m. The event is free to the public but spectators are asked to bring a canned food item for the Chow for Now donation food drive, benefitting Volunteers In Service to the Elderly.


Winter Haven

Rock N' Freedom Fest:

MLK Jr. Park and Lake Silver · Sunday, July 3

Activities will start late afternoon with the fireworks beginning at 9:30 p.m.

Celebrate Independence Day at this family friendly event! There will be live music, food, family activities with a Centennial flair and fireworks!


Auburndale

The City of Auburndale's July 4th celebration has a different feel this year. After two years of issues surrounding water conditions at the city beach, the city has turned the beach at Lake Ariana into a more passive park with picnicking and boating rather than swimming. Patrons will find grass where the beach was and pavilions connected by a sidewalk network. Fireworks by Zambelli's fire off at 9 p.m. According to Auburndale Parks and Recreation Director Mickey Etherton, this year's display will be a little bit bigger than last year's. Parking is free. Bring a lawn chair or blanket.


Bartow

The Bartow Adult Concert Band plays patriotic music, directed by John DeYoung, from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. at the Bartow Civic Center. Admission is free.

Bartow celebrates its 4th of July with the theme "America: Many People, One Heart, One Nation Under God." Bartow's Fourth of July Extravaganza at Mosaic Park begins at 4 p.m. The event features entertainment, rides, inflatables, food and a display by Battery A of the Florida National Guard. Guests can enjoy a 50-round cannon salute by Battery A, 2nd Battalion, 116th Field Artillery, following the 9:30 p.m. fireworks show. Bring a lawn chair or blanket.

Lake Wales


Lake Wales hosts its Independence Day Celebration from 2 to 9 p.m. on the shore of Lake Wailes. Music is provided by Parties by Robert. Patrons can enjoy games, pony rides, face painting, food and the Kidz Zone from 1st Assembly of God. Fireworks cap off the evening at 9:30pm
