Dirt Days, June 25th

This event is free and lots of fun. I took my boys last month and we had a great time. I just received an email saying there are still spots available for Saturday's Dirt days. You have to call to register, see phone # below.

Ask Mom or Dad to bring you
to our monthly “It Matters What
You Grow” meetings. Each
month you will plant seeds or
take cuttings for a plant to grow
in our parks and one to take
home.
Join us on Saturday, June 25, for
a special “American Beautyberry”
Picnic at the Christina Park Picnic
Pavilion. We’ll start at 9 a.m. and
have a picnic lunch at 11 a.m. with
hot dogs for everyone, games, prizes and fun activities
and, of course, we’ll have watermelon and a seed-spittin’
contest with prizes for the best spittin’ … and you won’t
even get in trouble!

Also, please wear your tennis shoes rather than sandals or flip-flops as we have relay games planned for after we plant our American Beautyberry seeds and cuttings. And don’t forget about the watermelon seed-spittin’ contest after lunch. That should be lots of fun, too!

Pre-registration required; call Miss Glenda at 534-4340.
Limited to 40 kids (ages 6-12). Must bring an adult.
