Read Books! Win Books!

What better way for your child to spend the summer than with a good book?
Want to help encourage your child to read this summer? Submit your child’s Summer Book Bucks pledge (a promise to read at least four books this summer) and they'll be entered for a chance to win a $25 gift certificate to one of the independent bookstores listed below.
Fill out the form below for your child, and print the pledge to post at home!
Winners will be announced at the beginning of July. (More Summer Book Bucks sweepstakes will run through the months of July and August.)

We love James Patterson's website http://www.readkiddoread.com/
It has great recommendations for kids books on their level, summer reading lists and ways to encourage your child to read and fall in love with reading.

Bartow Public Library Summer Reading Program

DIG INTO READING!
Beginning Thursday June 6th, stop by the Bartow Public Library and pick up your free materials for this summer program.  Record in your Reading Log what you read and how many minutes you read each day.  When you reach a total of 10 hours (600 minutes) or more, bring your Log back to the library and receive a ticket for admission to our Dig In Ice-Cream Sundae Party set for Friday August 2nd from 2:00 - 3:00 PM.  Children who are not yet reading on their own can have an adult read to them.
This program runs from June 6th to July 31st.
What are you waiting for?  DIG IN and START READING!
