First Friday - Dog Days Downtown
September 5, 2014 6PM - 9PM

The Downtown Lakeland Partnership’s most popular First Friday, Dog Days Downtown will take place Friday, September 5 from 6 to 9 p.m. The event, which is sponsored by SPCA Florida and My Pet’s Animal Hospital, is expected to draw 8,000 to 10,000 people. Attendees are invited to bring their social canines on a leash downtown for water activities, product samples, treats, obedience training demonstrations, and more.
SPCA Florida will offer $10 microchips, a $15 savings, and its mobile Wellness Wagon will provide low cost vaccinations and preventive products. Owners can also help their dogs create “artwork” at SPCA Florida’s Paw Printing station and learn more about the non-profit’s community programs like Safety Net and Ani-Meals, which help keep pets in their homes.
My Pet’s Animal Hospital will provide The Hydration Station, a misting tent with wading pools for the pups, a drying off area, plus water for the two and four-legged attendees. My Pet's Animal Hospital will also offer special treats, giveaways, and a raffle with all proceeds benefiting the My Pet's Animal Hospital Hope Fund.
