Family fun at Tampa IKEA
When school is out, get in on the fun at the IKEA Tampa Kids’ Academy!
The following events are happening at the Tampa location. Find out what is going on in your local IKEA HERE!
Featuring FREE activities, a FREE meal and a FREE IKEA Tampa Kids’ Academy t-shirt for kids under 12 years old who attend.* Activities last 20 minutes and start at 11:00am, then repeat at 1:00pm, 3:00pm, 5:00pm and 7:00pm, on the following dates:
December 19, 2011 Make a holiday card for someone special.
December 20, 2011 It’s story time in our mattress studio. It’s ok to wear your pajamas!
December 21, 2011 Make a pompom Christmas tree craft.
December 22, 2011 Decorate an IKEA RAM picture frame.
December 23, 2011 Make your own braided heart ornament with our MALA paper.
December 26, 2011 Make origami with a festive touch, using leftover wrapping paper.
December 27, 2011 Keep your toys organized by personalizing an IKEA SAMLA storage box.
December 28, 2011 Participate in a fun scavenger hunt throughout the IKEA Showroom
December 29, 2011 Prepare for your New Year’s celebration. Decorate a party favor.
December 30, 2011 Little Pirates get ready! Add your creative touch to a banner that will be displayed at the Children’s Gasparilla Extravaganza.
Also, kids under 12 years old eat FREE every Tuesday at the IKEA Tampa Restaurant from 11:00am to 8:00pm.*

Legoland Happy New Year
Kids’ New Year’s Eve on Dec. 31 let’s kids rock out and watch the sky explode with LEGO® fireworks at just the right time for them, midnight KST (Kid Standard Time) - otherwise known as 7 p.m. EST.
Legoland Christmas events
Festive decorations and sounds of the season will fill The Beginning and Fun Town through the holidays, Now - December 31, followed by Kids’ New Year’s Eve on Dec. 31. The Beginning is home to a truly spectacular, Bricktacular sight - a more than 30-foot-tall LEGO® Christmas tree made with a combination of 270,000 forest green LEGO® and DUPLO® bricks. Through Dec. 31, a special family will be chosen to help light the Bricktacular tree each night.
Santa Claus even makes special daily appearances in the historic Cypress Gardens making a picture perfect spot to capture family memories sure to be treasured for years to come.

Audition Information December 12th & 13th at 5:30 pm You may come either night The Lake Mirror Theatre121 S. Lake Ave. Lakeland, FL 33801 Please prepare 16 bars of music to sing. Bring sheet music with you; we will provide an accompanist. No monologue necessary; you may be asked to read from a script. Be ready to learn & perform a short choreographed routine with a small group. Please dress for movement, and bring dance shoes if you have them. You may be asked to stay the duration of the evening for the audition process, so please prepare accordingly. |

Lowry Park Zoo happenings

Meet Santa and his merry mammals REAL REINDEER and light up your holidays during the 12th annual Wild Wonderland. Spread some seasonal cheer this year as you explore the Zoos whimsical world of holiday magic with wondrous animated displays like the new Wonder & Delight, Frozen Forest and Visions of Sugarplums. Enjoy free rides and savor traditional holiday treats from the Zoos own Sweet Shoppe.
Admission is $13 for Adults and $11 for Children (ages 3-11). Annual Zoo Pass Holders receive discounted admission of $9.50 for Adults and $7.50 for Children (ages 3-11). A combo admission offer (daytime Zoo and Wild Wonderland) is also available.
Tickets may be purchased online through 3 p.m. the day of the event, or at the Zoos front gate during all hours of operation.
9:30 a.m. -12:30 p.m.
Ring in the New Year family style at the annual Noon Years Eve daytime celebration hosted by the Zoo and Radio Disney AM 1380. The party begins when the Zoo opens with games, arts and crafts, live entertainment, educational displays and more. Families can ring in the New Year with noisemakers, hats and a juice toast as they watch a giant clock strike 12 noon. Activities are included with Zoo admission.

Celebrate the season with the Zoos primate family! Watch the primates open special presents from Zoo staff and docents as part of their enrichment program.
