2010 - 2011 Schedule The Polk County Library Cooperative Bookmobile visits selected locations on a twice monthly schedule. The service is free to all Polk County residents.

The bookmobile is funded by the Polk County Board of County Commissioner's Community Investment Dollars with the support of the Polk County Library Cooperative and operated by the Lakeland Public Library.

Materials checked out from the bookmobile may be returned on the next area stop or to any participating Polk County Public Library. There is now a book drop at the OUTPOST 27 that can soon be used for material returns

Users may select both adult and childrens books,CDs,DVDs, and videos.

Free Kindermusik Playdate in January

Individual events: Different theme each month

2nd Saturdays at 10:45 am.

January Theme: "Kitchen Commotion"

This month is FREE to new families - no materials

Typically $20 - 25 for class with materials.

The Playdates are intended to help introduce thematic Musical Parenting to families who cannot otherwise participate in a full Kindermusik program. To participate, contact Debbie calling 816-8835.

Lego Store Events

Join in the LEGO^® Store Monthly Mini Model Build!
Visit your local LEGO Store on the first Tuesday of every month and you can learn how to build a cool mini model, and take it home – for free! Quantities are limited and offer is good while supplies last only. A new model will be available every month and will be specially themed to that month – ask a Store Associate for details! Models are not for sale and cannot be purchased. One free per child. Event is open to children ages 6 to 14 only. See store for more details.
