Bartow Halloween, October 28th

For the 68th time in as many years, Bartow's Crickette Club is staging its annual Halloween parade and carnival to herald the season of ghosts and goblins.

The parade will begin Thursday at 4 p.m. at East Main Street and South First Avenue, snaking through downtown Bartow and south to Mosaic Park at the Bartow Civic Center.

There, the club's annual carnival will feature a cornucopia of amusement rides, games, food and live entertainment. The women of the Crickette Club began hosting the event to raise funds for its philanthropy programs, including its support of the local Girl Scouts.

The parade will feature marching bands, military units, political candidates and floats decorated by schools, churches and area businesses. The parade route moves west along East Main Street to Broadway Avenue, then south to Mosaic Park.

Bartow police will begin closing those roads at about 3:50 p.m., and detours will be marked. The carnival begins about 5 p.m. after the parade and continues until about 9:30 p.m.

Admission is free, and tickets for the rides and games will be available at the carnival. Food vendors will be on hand as well, and the club will host a costume contest during the carnival.

Free Legoland Ticket

This quarter's Lego Catalog has a coupon for a free child's admission to Legoland and it includes the new Legoland in Winter Haven, FL that is not completed yet. The coupon is good until December 2011 and the new park is scheduled to open in the fall of 2011 so if you can keep your coupon until next year it is a good deal!!! It is a savings of $55!!

sweepstakes from Munchkin; chance to win Housecleaning for a year!!

We want to share some exciting news and a way you can enter to win prizes from Munchkin – including a free year of housecleaning!

Earlier this week, we released the news that a recent survey performed by an independent testing firm found that moms prefer our Arm & Hammer™ Diaper Pail 2-to-1 over the Diaper Genie® II*, based on overall performance, ease of use, and odor control. The full story can be read here.

We hope you have had the chance to experience Arm & Hammer™ Diaper Pail by Munchkin too! If you have used it, please take a moment to post your personal review on the Arm & Hammer™ Diaper Pail page on one or more of the following websites: Walmart.com, Kmart.com, Target.com, ToysRUs.com, Amazon.com or Diapers.com. We appreciate your feedback, as we use it to develop new products in the future.

To celebrate our survey results, we have launched a contest called “That Stinks! But the Arm & Hammer™ Diaper Pail by Munchkin doesn’t!” You can “Like” us on facebook.com/munchkininc and/or follow us at twitter.com/munchkin_inc for a chance to win fun prizes every Monday and Friday, or even enter to win a year’s worth of free housecleaning!

Best,

Your Friends at Munchkin
